Another fine addition to Rinker's Construction Site board book collection。Crane Truck and Excavator work together on the construction site, lifting up beams and dropping in pipes。 Each two-page spread features rhyming lines that contain two words (in capital letters) which have the opposite meaning。 For example, up/down, in/out, fast/slow, and above/below。 Ethan Long continues using the same art style in this series as Tom Lichtenheld used in the larger books。 All artwork is digitally rendered。F Another fine addition to Rinker's Construction Site board book collection。Crane Truck and Excavator work together on the construction site, lifting up beams and dropping in pipes。 Each two-page spread features rhyming lines that contain two words (in capital letters) which have the opposite meaning。 For example, up/down, in/out, fast/slow, and above/below。 Ethan Long continues using the same art style in this series as Tom Lichtenheld used in the larger books。 All artwork is digitally rendered。Fans of the series will love this one, as well。Recommended for ages 2-5。 。。。more

Cute and fun illustrations but the rhyming was a little clunky to read aloud。 My 15-month-old lost interest quickly but it was cute enough to try again later。

Like all her books, this one is wonderful。 Great rhyming and nice examples of opposites。

I'm sure it hardly matters to fans of this series what reviewers might have to say since it is so popular。 Nevertheless, I will point out that this particular board book will require a little more work in understanding the concept of opposites that is explored here than some of the earlier titles。 Crane Truck is hard at work at the construction site, and Excavator has some specific tasks that need to be accomplished。 Only Crane Truck can get the job done。 Readers will follow the illustrations an I'm sure it hardly matters to fans of this series what reviewers might have to say since it is so popular。 Nevertheless, I will point out that this particular board book will require a little more work in understanding the concept of opposites that is explored here than some of the earlier titles。 Crane Truck is hard at work at the construction site, and Excavator has some specific tasks that need to be accomplished。 Only Crane Truck can get the job done。 Readers will follow the illustrations and rhyming text to make note of in/out, above/below, fast/slow, clean/dirty, day/night, and open/closed, among others as the trucks go about their business。 I'd read this one slowly if sharing it with youngsters for the very first time。 But they'll enjoy it even more the second and third time around。 。。。more
